MASTER DIANA
Bringing peace to the worldThe vajra master known as “Dai An Lai” (Diana), meaning “Bringer of Peace”, signifies the bestowment of tranquility unto the world, a symbol of universal benefaction. This is the Dharma title manifested in the Saha World for the propagation of Buddhism.
The master’s parents were both descendants of illustrious families. His paternal lineage traces back several generations to royal kin, while his mother descended from Prince Zhongwu of Fenyang, Guo Ziyi, a notable figure during the Tang Dynasty. Owing to various circumstances and changes, the master moved from Hong Kong to overseas in the early 1990s, eventually settling in the beautiful and serene city of Vancouver, Canada.
His family has been devout Buddhists for generations. In the early Tang Dynasty, Guo Ziyi campaigned across the north and south, establishing monasteries in areas with high casualty rates. He also introduced the Buddhist observance of Yulanpen, a large-scale annual festival for the relief of suffering souls, also known as The Ghost Festival, from India to vast regions in China. This act made a remarkable contribution to the promotion of Buddhism. Following in his ancestor’s footsteps, the master, with his deeply rooted virtues, found his calling. Upon hearing the sound of a temple bell, he entered a profound state of Zen meditation, and the Dharma ties from countless past lives re-emerged in his heart, moment by moment…
